Dear Sir and Brother,
We are approaching the end of the second year of the Province’s 2012 Appeal for the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls & Boys (RMTGB) and I thought I would update your Lodge and its members on a few items concerning the Festival:-
As at the end of November 2008, over £1.6m has been donated. In addition, over 1400 brethren have qualified as Stewards. Can I thank each Lodge and every Brother who has contributed – this is an excellent result at this stage in the Appeal. The demands on the RMTGB will be even greater going forward so please continue to be as generous in 2009.
Please ensure that any cheque for the Festival is made payable to “RMTGB” with the Name and Number of the Lodge on the cheque.
The Provincial Grand Master encourages every brother to become a Festival Steward and wear their Festival jewel with pride. These jewels can be worn in Lodge and Chapter meetings.
The Province’s 2012 Appeal has its own website and this can be found at www.devonfestival.org. The website has lots of information about the Festival, news, contacts and much else.
Finally, can I thank everyone who has contributed to this Appeal – your donations are appreciated and help relieve children from suffering. May I wish you and your families a happy and peaceful Christmas!
