St John's Lodge of Instruction are holding another curry night!
I have great pleasure in saying that our Indian Curry night, which was held on Wednesday 10th November 2010 was a great success. The meal was served after the Lodge of Instruction, at 7:45pm.
In order to keep the wastage down we provided a selection of a starter and main meal, which were ordered in advance. There were two options for starters, main and rice.
The starters were Mulligatawny Soup, which is a mildly spicy soup, and Stuffed Tomato. The stuffing is minced beef, with mild spices and coriander.
The main course was rice and chicken curry, with options for each element. The rice was either a simple pilau rice or the biriani style rice with vegetables, fruit and nuts. The curry options were a mild and creamy Chicken Korma or a Spicy Chicken Curry (medium/hot).
As we intended for this event to be a social gathering it was opened to any brethren and their partners. Last year we were pleased with 20 attendees and I have to say that this year we had 32 people dining and the evening was a very enjoyable event.
I guess it is now time to start planning next November's Curry Night.
